Why are you doing this; are you insane?
For the most part yes... But that has nothing to do with the Poster and a Coaster giveaway; I am actually celebrating the poster's creation.

Will you ship worldwide?
You bet?? If you do, then bet on yes - because you would definitely win.

I really, really need a new coaster and the poster might be cool too, how do I get it?
Send an email to dotnetcf@microsoft.com, tell me a little about what you are doing or plan to do with the .NET Compact Framework (this is not compulsory - only do this if you feel comfortable sharing ;-) ). You may swear if you must. Please make sure you give me your shipping address - for obvious reasons!! It should go without saying, especially in the current climate of privacy concerns etc, that the email that you send to dotnetcf@microsoft.com goes directly to a special folder in MY inbox and your personal information will be kept secure. Your information is shared only with my shipping vendor for the express purpose of getting your Poster and Coaster to you. I feel lame having to spell this out since, I would have to be an idiot to do anything other than this. Besides this is what I would expect if I was to take up this offer, and it is what you should expect too - that's why it should go without saying.

Is the email address dotnetcf@microsoft.com actually really just some type internet-based blackhole?
Well that depends... That email address funnels into a special folder in my own in box. And my inbox has been referred to as a blackhole in the past by my peers here at Redmond. In this case however, no, it is not a blackhole. I am reading and responding to each email - although it takes me a little while to turn a response around. As the Fox network (I'm pretty sure the Fox News Channel is available world-wide trying to keep a world focus here) might say if this were a news show, this is a “Spin-down-a-blackhole“ Free Zone (Real offers, relatively fast - ok the second bit of jargon would be from another network) ;-)

How will I know if I made the cut?
I'll post here when stocks run out - again. I have decided to double the offering due to interest. I can't live with the emails that you have all taken the time to write going unrewarded. I will warn you all when I'm about to run out, so that hopefully no one will be disappointed.

When will I get my Poster and Coaster if I make the cut?
I'm batching the shipments into groups that I will dispatch once a week - probably Friday. The way things are going there will probably be just one uber shipment; ie people really seem to need coasters right now. If I don't hit this Friday (Jan 28, 2004) then the batch will go early next week. Basically just give me a couple of weeks for door to door service. That's better than how long it takes to get my manufacturer “cash back offer cheques” - if I even bother to send in the request; half the time I don't have the original box and barcode that they require anyway.
