Any feedback would be most appreciated!
Hi Ori, i just say your MIX talk vide, its pretty cool what you guys are doing, i am surprice that microsoft is jumping in this space now, and what i mean is the share hosting consideration, because that is huge and its been huge for ecomerse for a long time for small to medium size setups.
Is it going to be easy to setup the ecommerse foundation to use a MySQL server? also the video didn't mention anything about providing RSS for the catalog and modifying the items included in the RSS?
Hi Ori,
I just watched your video last night and man, I think this is amazing. I was wondering where could I find out more about this platform, like maybe a home webpage or community page or something. I am an avid fan and member of this existing community http://www.commercestarterkit.org/ and when I saw your presentation, I just got blown away. I would like to hear more from this ecommerce foundation, and I would most likely play with it or use it.
Eric
Jose--thanks for the feedback! You should be able to use the Commerce extensions with MySQL because we abstract away the database via our use of the ADO.Net Entity Framework (which supports MySQL). WRT RSS, it's definitely on our feature list, but this functionality will not be present in our June CTP yet.
Eric--we do have a community site at http://forums.asp.net/1129.aspx. We'd love to hear your thoughts on the product and on future directions you'd like to see us take.
Did you release any update at TechEd 07 as your roadmap suggested or is there a new schedule?
