I think in Windows Mobile 6.5 or 7 this needs to be extended. When I am emailing from my mobile device 9 times out of 10 I am emailing someone from my Microsoft Exchange Global Address List and I would really like it if it searched the GAL and used it in the quick picks list also.

The biggest problem I have with that approach is that you can put only 1 mobile number per contact. This is ridiculous in 2009, when people have usually at least 2 mobile numbers (private and business). Sometimes you can even send a text message to landline - but you need to do it tediously, copying and pasting numbers.
