I'm a Developer Consultant based in Dublin. Blogging has been on my to-do list for some time now and it will be a interesting journey to see what I will put in here.
Update: I have moved on from MS.
My area of professional interest generally falls within Microsoft's Application Platform, which is all of that good stuff that is Web Services, Enterprise Services, all things.NET in general and of course COM+ (since I spent 6+ years using it).
I guess one of the main things I am going to use this blog for, is a way to document a lot of the research I do as part of my job, keeping abreast of whats out there and using this to assist the developer community make informed choices about what best suits their needs and the best way forward.
Like my colleague Bill O'Brien , I'm going to try to capture some common issues that I see in the field when engaging with developers. It could be very straight forward issues like not be able to find a link/document that covers an area or broader requirements on where are the best sources of information so that you can get up to speed on a topic very quickly.
So lets see how this goes, I think its going to be a bit of fun and if you find it useful, please stop by once in a while.
thx,
P.
