I'm back...
Hi All -
It's been a while since my last post, so I thought I would take a moment to let you know what I've been up to for the past couple of months.
We finally managed to get the Developer Highway Code out and have been distributing it at our Application Security events. We are currently out of stock...due to overwhelming demand. Currently we are in the process of getting some more printed. It is our intention to also make this handbook available very soon from MS Press.
Many Thanks to all of you who have been attending our security events. I have been blown away by the attendance and it’s been great catching up with so many people at the events. Please keep the feedback coming…Good or Bad.
The Application Security Website (Refresh Mark II) has also been well received. We are in the process of another refresh and this should be available by the end of the week. The turn around isn’t quite as quick as we would have hoped…please stick with us, we are aiming for quality over quantity and we will get better at refreshing the website…I promise!
I’ve also been kept away from my Blog by a trip to the US, to attend some Deep Dive Vista LightUp labs, followed by several Vista and WinFX labs I have been participating in over here in the UK. The latest lab I completed in Reading last week was a Vista Deep Dive lab, and top of the agenda for interest and also that will have a substantial affect on your applications is UAC (User Account Control). Coincidentally UAC is a topic I will be writing about this week for the next MSDN flash newsletter…so find out more in this article if you’ve not come across UAC yet.
Well that’s about it for now on the update…and I promise to try and be a little more regular on the blog over the following months J
