Well it's going to be one of those mad busy days, but I'm trying to become a good blog citizen and write fairly regular posts :-) so thought I'd pen a quick entry!

I'm heads down in my office in Manchester, getting ready for a team planning session in Reading tomorrow...

Hi Everyone!!

I wanted to make you aware (if you aren't already) of a fantastic example of a Line of Business Application using SilverLight 2.0. It's been pulled together by the Microsoft Common User Interface Team (CUI) - if you are in healthcare you should definitely check out their website here.

I work with healthcare ISVs in the UK and many of whom have adopted the CUI toolkit and guidance. Please feel free to drop me an email if you would like to get further information. I will also look to do a future posting and involve the CUI team - perhaps a nice video or some such.

I presented the demonstrator very briefly at an event I was doing to 250 Public Sector ISVs on Tuesday - seemed to go down very well and Thanks to everyone who attended!

In the words of the CUI Team:

Overview

The Microsoft Health Common User Interface (MSCUI) Patient Journey Demonstrator is a vehicle for Microsoft thought leadership in state-of-the-art User Experience for Healthcare applications. It provides exemplar implementations of Microsoft Common User Interface guidance on a Microsoft platform.

It is our showcase for new ideas, experimentation and an artifact for learning and thinking about future developments of the MSCUI program.

Clinical Scenario

The Patient Journey Demonstrator conceptualise an end-to-end journey where a specific clinical scenario is used to illustrate how an integrated, patient-centric care record can transition seamlessly between care settings. It demonstrates how data can be accessed and entered from many of the care sources experienced along the patient journey.
