Last week at the University of Derby, we run X48, a marathon gamecamp where student and indie developers used Microsoft's XNA Game Studio 3.0 to create a game in less than 48 hours on the theme of Evolution.

Ed reported on the two days in this blog post and in a nutshell we had 80 students, more than 750 snacks, more than 550 drinks, 100,000 lines of code.

During the 2 days we and the students generated a lot of videos, photos and tweets which you can see here:

Most importantly, students were able to rise to the challenge and create fully functional games with XNA in less than 48 hours (more like 24 of actual development time). And they consumed a considerable amount of junk food and created a lot of code - http://www.daytum.com/x48

Now the games developed during the two days are available for download at the X48 website: http://www.x48gamecamp.com/games/

Go ahead, download a few, play them and let us know what you think!!!
