Up until now, we've never had a great set of JavaScript debugging tools, but "Orcas", the next version of Visual Studio will have some great new JavaScript debugging tools.  While Visual Web Developer "Orcas" hasn't shipped yet, there is a CTP available that you can download and install.

The VWD team (and my old team) has posted on their blog a couple of blog posts about how to do JS debugging in VWD Orcas.  It's worth checking out.
