Hi Peter,

This is only vaguely on-topic, I know, but: Do you know if the next rollup will include a guide for Australian MCE users? We're dyin' down here! (And when I say "dyin'" I mean "using dodgy third-party screen-scraping utilities to fudge an EPG.")

Could you confirm exactly which EPG related issues this workaround will fix?

Is it the "Cannot schedule recording because guide data can't be accessed" one?

If this is the "Cannot schedule recording..." problem (maybe a description of the symptoms would help us know if we have the problem?), then I solved this months ago - I configured my MCE PC to reboot at 5.30am every day.

I've not had a single problem since. Before I did this, about 3 programs a week would fail to record, or fail to be scheduled to record.

I can't say I'm happy with the solution, but it does work.

Peter,

Thanks for letting us know Microsoft is aware of the issue and working on resolving it. As you know I had been scheduling a full system reboot twice a week to ensure I didn't hit this issue, but that also introduced more occurences of the "No TV Signal Issue" with my DVICO tuner card.

The script you have supplied so far is working fine for me... only time will tell (I'll let you know in a week or two). If all is good this problem will go away, and I won't have to deal with the "No TV Signal" issue as much (but it'd be nice to get that fixed too... although I think it is a DVICO driver issue).

it would be good if someone at MS could also comment on all the "no info available" when I view the guide listings for hundreds of channels via ditigal satellite, and whether they are addressing this soon.

Richard: That is because we don't have Guide data from the provider (Zap2It) yet.

The time shown by your edit tool is GMT right?

I've been trying to set this up for a while now and nothing else seems to make sense.
