SP1 Status update: We are still working the list of bugs. We are down to the last 10-15% of the planned

I have tried to install the SP1 but with no success as the Installation screen advises me that I need 1500 MB in order to install. My C drive only has 300MB free space and I am unable to free up more space on it. My D drive (separate volume) has over 2 GB available. How can I use this to install SP1?

Hi Victor.  Based on what you have posted, it looks like you either have at least 2 physical HDD's, or, at least 2 partitions on the HDD that you installed FSX on.  You have 2 options that I can think of based on this info..  1. Perform a full restore of your system(i.e., wipe the HDD and re-install your O.S., etc. ; basically starting from scratch).  This will let you reclaim the HDD space if in fact you have a single HDD because it will let you make a single drive out of it as opposed to multiple logical disks (if I lost you on this, I would not reccommend this course of action)

2. Buy a larger (preferably an internal) HDD and install it and then  a. uninstall FSX from the old location and then b. install FSX on the larger HDD and then c. install the patch.  

You cannot use your D drive because it does not contain any FSX files.  The patch must be installed into the same drive that FSX is on.  Patches are used to overwrite, modify, and add files to the FSX program, in a nutshell.  Since there is no FSX folder on your D drive, the patch will not install there.  i hope this helps.

I would like to know what the minimum requirements for Windows Vista would be to run my FXS and get maximum results. Thanks, Tony B.

I'm knew to FSX but something realy bugs me.  When flying a helecopter for a reasonable amount of time the throttle goes to full, the aircraft gains altitude, crashes? because I can't control it and have to end flight.

Is there a fix for this.

hi ya well i wanted to know if i could install FSX on my D: drive?I have more GB space on my D: then my C: But when i tried it before my computer kept shutting down but we had a virus now would the D: drive be causeing that problom 2 or was it just the virus...
