Shayna's Bio

shaynabHi, my name is Shayna Begun and I am a Program Manager in the Vertical Industry and Embedded Windows (VIEW) team at Microsoft.  Together with Briand we compromise the Customer Pre-Release Programs team.  What does that mean?  Well, we work closely with our customers and partners and ensure that they are involved in the product planning and development prior to the release of a product so that we can ensure the product meets the needs of our customer base.  I joined this group in June 06 but I've been with Microsoft since 2001 working in the Customer Service division in various roles centered around the Customer and Partner Experience.

I went to college in Pittsburgh, PA and have a degree in Information Science with a minor in Economics, and I am originally from Fargo, ND (yes - just like the movie...although my accent isn't quite that thick anymore!).  I am married to another Microsoftie (although we met in high school, not at work) and we have a beautiful daughter, Jordan.  When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, drinking good wine with friends, and practicing yoga.
