Can't wait to see this however I am a little scared of a another new version of Powerpoint. Our PowerPoint 2007 training bookings have only just passed PowerPoint 2003 bookings. I hope 2010 is similar to 2007 in layout at least.

Training Connection - Yes, we will be continuing with the Ribbon layout and tried to keep most of our commands in the same places when possible. 2007 was a big departure and change for us from 2003.

There's not a specific command to burn DVDs from within PowerPoint, but you'll find several new features that will help you create content suitable for mastering as a DVD in any number of DVD creation applications.

Btw, is collaborative editing supported without SharePoint? Is SharePoint required? If yes, then that takes away one feature for non-enterprise users. :-(

I have used PP 2000 for years just purchased 2007 with the hope that by now Microsoft would have upgraded it with the ability to embed audio (music) files such as mid mp3 or wma feel I have wasted my $. Would like to lknow if 2010 will include this feature?

if not then would someone explain why not?

Well I tried PP2010 on Windows 7 and not crazy about the click and run download style...Was not able to insert audio files that would play back tried midi and mp3..same as all other versions it will play Wave files when placed in the transition ribbon. when I clicked on file to get the backstage options, it did not give me the option buttons for optomize media compatability nor the option to reduce size. Where do I go to find a solution. Thanks

Doris W - Sorry to hear you're running into these problem, it's very unexpected for us to hear that you can't insert MIDI or MP3 files.

Are you getting any error messages and are these files working in Windows Media Player?
