I’ll be joining Hal Rottenberg and Jonathan Walz (hosts of the PowerScripting Podcast) in a PowerShell V2 Virtual Launch Party this Thursday, Oct 22nd, 9:30 PM EDT (GMT-4).

You are more than welcome to BYOB. In fact, since this is a virtual party, you won't even have to share your drinks with others. :)

Since this is a launch party, does this mean that Powershell v2 will be launched and available for download that date?

Anyone?

Will Powershell v2 be available for download at the launch party or will it still just be available for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2?

Oct 22 is all about Windows 7 (and one of it's best features: PowerShell :-) ).

Downlevel releases will be available shortly afterwards.  The target is a week afterwards.

# re: PowerShell V2 Virtual Launch Party

Hmm, if Win7 is released w/ Powershell v2 why would it not be RTM?  I am running the MSDN copy of Win7 Ultimate since release on August 6 and it has v2.0 CTP3, why am I not able to get what my MSDN license pays for?
