Culmulative Update 6 - LEFT JOINS

I have recently update a customers core production system with SQL Server 2005 SP2 Culmulative Update 6 and seem to have an issue with LEFT joins of any type, as queries containing this join type take ages to compile and execute. I have tested this in earnest and pre-CU6 system seems to compile and execute queries containing LEFT joins without any problems. My testing has also included changing to RIGHT joins in queries,which seems to work fine.

Has this problem been detected and if so, will it get resolved in CU7?
