High-Detail Feature list, and then some
We’ve published a list of Seaplane bases in the article here.
I have not seen a list of “High-Detail” features and thought I would offer one up J.
There are two features touted as “High-Detail”; airports and cities. It is a bit trickier to come up with this list than one might think though. The definition is a tad confusing especially for cities. So let me explain.
Airports
High-detail airports are airports that are not auto-generated by canned facilities information and instead have custom facilities data. They are also supposed to be next to a city that has some custom level of detail but I haven’t full cross-correlated the two lists to make sure that is completely true.
Here is a list of the High-Detail Airports that I found by working with our data-tech Travis Crowell:

Bold airports are only available in Deluxe.
Yellow highlighted airports are added in Acceleration.
That’s 39 in Standard, 44 in Deluxe, and 48 with Acceleration added to Deluxe. That appears to be 1 less than what the web site marketing blurbs are claiming, I honestly don’t know if my list is missing 1 or if the blurb is off by 1.
So the 5+ sceneries I mention in my post on Acceleration features are actually:
· 3 airport/facilities locations being Tempelhof, Reno, and Edwards ( with 2 airports at the Edwards location )
· 2 scenery locations ( Istanbul, Longleat )
· plus the 3M LIDAR scenery at Mt St Helens.
Cities
Cities are a bit harder to classify. It appears there are quite a few cities that have custom objects but that don’t rise to the level of “High-Detail” and there are the odd random single objects sprinkled around. With that being the case, I erred on the side of completeness and am listing everywhere I found that a custom object existed.
There may be more, but this is the list of custom objects I found by working with our data-tech Travis Crowell:
Cities with more than 1 custom object:
Latin America ( 3 )
Rio de Jeneiro
Sao Paulo
Mexico City
Europe ( 30 )
Moscow
Munich
Berlin
Dublin/Cork
Istanbul
Stockholm
Copenhagen
Brussels
St. Petersburg
London
Lisbon
Gibraltar
Helsinki
Paris
La Defense
Amsterdam
Rotterdam
Barcelona
Madrid
Oslo
Trondheim
Monte Carlo/Monaco
Salzburg
Lyons, France
Milan, Italy
Lisbon
Malmo, Sweden
Athens
Glasgow/Blackpool
Lake Geneva
US ( 9 )
San Francisco
Los Angeles
New York
Miami
Chicago
Atlanta
Salt Lake
Washington DC
Seattle
Africa, Middle East ( 7 )
Capetown
Jerusalem
Tel-Aviv
Cairo
Dubai
Riyadh
Mecca
Asia ( 16 )
Tokyo
Hong Kong
Shanghai
Singapore
Beijing
Taipei
Seoul
Saitama
Sapporo
Nagoya
Kyoto
Fukuoka
Kobe
Chiba
Nara
Incheon
Australia & NZ ( 7 )
Melbourne
Perth
Brisbane
Sydney
Canberra
Wellington
Auckland
Canada ( 5 )
Toronto
Vancouver
Montreal
Edmonton
Calgary
So that is 77 cities with more than 1 custom object.
3+16+3+3+6+5+2 of those have 10 or more custom objects, which equals 38, so perhaps that is the metric the web site blurb uses. I cannot break down which 28 of these are in Standard and which additional 10 are in Deluxe, sorry about that. Those counts are in order, in the (LA+EU+US+AME+ASIA+ANZ+CANADA) geographies
Additional single custom objects are located in:
Cambridge, Canterbury, Birmingham, Oxford
Vienna
Siena
Abbey Mont St Michel
Bilbao Museum
And in addition there are 20 stadiums and misc objects in Japan, 4 of them are at the Tanegashima Space Center.
That should give people a real great list of places to fly and check out what custom objects are at these locations.
Happy flying!
