Why books suck
People sometimes ask why we (bloggers; newsgroup posters; etc) don't write books. Well, along with all the arguments put forth by Eric, there's the fact that they take up a lot of room and you arbitrarily decide to get rid of them when you move house! Tonight I went looking for a book that I bought long ago at University, but it turns out I probably donated it to Goodwill during a previous house move.
Bummer.
Now it's out of print, I'll actually have to go looking for it (or take my chances with a second-hand copy on the web) if I decide I want to read it badly enough.
