It isn't clear from these blogs if your existing SBA customers should consider this download as an upgrade or if it is stictly promotional at this time. Will I lose functionality by upgrading and is there an upgrade path, as in pay MS some money? Should we wait until next year when OA is available to the masses?

That is a good question. The quick and short answer is that users of SBA 2006 should upgrade to OA professional 2007 which will be available early next year. It has number of new features and enhancements that will benefit the more established small businesses. The same services also can be subscribed too.
OA pro list price will be 149. SBA2006 users can upgrade for 99.
I cannot even tell you how great this Office Accounting Express edition helps me! I'm a new business and I have been wanting to purchase SmallBusiness Accounting 2006 but was never able to really justify it yet.
Office Accounting 2007 Express is great because it gives me most of the features that I'm looking for - and I can definitly justify the price tag - and I will upgrade in the future as my company grows.
Office Accounting is MUCH easier to use than Quickbooks, and as a Quicken/Quickbooks hater for years - I'm so happy to see that MS is finally coming up with a viable alternative!
10 bucks says that by the end of this week or next Quickbooks Starter Edition will be available for free on the web!
Is there a plan for international releases of this product?
The current release is US only. We are however in test mode for our UK software and services and based on customer feedback will make final determination around its availability next year. Thanks.
I have already reviewed and used the SDK's for Office 2007 SBA and was wondering if plans to allow deeper integration into the menu are in works? If there is an ISV contact that would be more prudent please let me know.
Dear Rajat Taneja,
Where can we stay in touch with the progress and updates of the MS Office Accounting 2007 UK edition?
I was involved in the US beta. I understand the beta for the UK edition is closed but can you direct me to where I need to look in order to stay up to date?
Thank you, and keep up the great work :)
