Alien? No way. Blade Runner was far better.

MSN's Cadillac of... promotion offers three choices for "best science fiction movie":

  • Alien
  • 2001: A Space Odyssey
  • Blade Runner

I'm not even sure why 2001 is on that list. Must be a nod to the geriatric crowd, eh? (Just kiddink!) Alien seems to be the hands-down winner so far, despite the fact that Aliens (the sequel) was MUCH better... and Terminator doesn't even get a mention? Huh. But Blade Runner still beats 'em all!

There's no accounting for some peoples' taste in scifi, I guess.

Oh hang on...they only offer 3 choices. I HATE surveys like that. "Pick your favourite widget even though your realy favourite isn't available to pick". Bah!

The best? Gotta be "Empire..." hasn't it? Sadly I was only a wee nipper when I first saw them all so I wasn't able to appreciate the subtle differences. To me they all Han Solo and Chewbacca in so I was happy! I was never particularly a fan of Luke!
