NGEN Article

I've been working a little on the side lately to put together an article on NGEN for MSDN magazine. We finished with the final changes a few days ago, and just three days later I was suprised to see it already published on the website! MSDN Mag is running my article as a preview for the April issue. Take a look here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/05/04/NGen/default.aspx. I'd be interested in getting feedback (if anyone is reading this) as to what other topics around NGen would be interesting.

Reid,

It is good to see you start blogging. I missed your start, but at leat I catch your first NGEN article:)

The MSDN magazine article is great. I am a little bit surprised that they published the article this early, since most of the changes are only relevant to Whidbey beta2. But this does not hide the gem in the article.

Hope you blog more, and show some real data in the future if possible. Too many "fake" bloggers in CLR team. They start one or two great posts, then they simply stop. I hope you don't become one of them:)

Anyway, good to see you here, and keep up the good work!

Loved the article -- keep 'em coming. I'd love to see one even more low-level than that one, but it's a great primer on ngen.

Could you explain what ngen does in cases where you want domain neutral assemblies
