Patching Praise...

Nice to see some praise for the efforts we're putting into the trustworth computing stuff from one of the guys who is really in a position to comment.

From http://news.zdnet.co.uk/software/applications/0,39020384,39162560,00.htm ...

[David] Litchfield said that Oracle may want to take a page from Microsoft's book in terms of improving the company's overall approach to patching holes in its software.

"Microsoft has traditionally been a big target, and they've suffered publicly because of that," he said. "But Microsoft has adopted better internal processes to address the problem, and they've now advanced past the rest of the market in terms of their ability to respond to new issues."

Now don't get me wrong, this isn't a "hooray everything is wonderful" post - it just suggests to me that we're heading in the right direction when external parties who have some real credentials are prepared to recognise it.
