Architect Forum
Just realised the content from the last Architect Forum has been available for a while. Keep an eye on https://s.microsoft.com/uk/msdn/architecture/forums.mspx for the forum materials becoming available generally. The next forum is running next week (16th June) and is focused on 'Connected Systems' (which is integration technologies in Microsoft marketing speak) and will be covering Service Orientation from many facets.
One of my esteemed colleagues, Simon Thurman, is working on a SOBI (Software Oriented Business Intelligence) implementation which will be discussed at the event. Just when you thought all the SO* accronyms had been used up hey :-)
Also, a good friend of mine, Andrew Bond, from House of Fraser will be discussing how they have implemented BizTalk and Web Services to generate almost immediate ROI and even a profit to the business as a result of their 'connected systems' strategy.
Almost sounds too good to miss doesn't it!
