The Secret Source of Google's Power
There is an excellent blog entry on Google's approach to building an infrastructure to support their search engine and services. This reminds me of Nelson's talk last summer at Gnomedex but adds some interesting commentary and speculation into the mix.

Another case of clearly executed business strategy being used for competitive advantage. Does anybody who reads Porter (Michael Porter, author of Competitive Strategy and Competitive Advantage) understand what he is saying? Google does, and combined with some academic research, is dominating the market.
