Technology in Education- Microsoft vs. Apple

My friend Tom Bridge has written an excellent memo to a local school board regarding their findings in support of new technology investments in their district. While I do not agree with all of his statements, his memo is very well written, thoughtful, and worth a read by anyone interested in the current state of technology in education. It's funny to me- I remember when I was still in school that Apple had a total lock on this market. At least schools today have legitimate choices to make regarding technology platforms.

Indeed, Randy, it IS a good thing that schools have choice in their decisions, I just wish they make informed choices instead of using only a partial picture! It's clear someone fed them a line of misinformation regarding OS X's capabilities along the way and that is very frustrating to me. I don't mind losing a fair fight, I mind losing a crippled one.
