Hiding Behind Certification
CIO Magazine: "The truth—as we all so bitterly know—is that the IT world is filled with certified, credentialed and accredited idiots. I bet you've hired a few. I know I have." [Via Mike Gunderloy]

Hm. There are something like 10000 mcsd.net idiots (including myself) in the world after 2.5 years that .net was shipped in March, 2002. The number is too small to talk about "IT world was filled". Certification like mcsd.net of MS just shows that the man can come and get it despite the lack of time we all have, full time job and the family. Also it shows the bottom line of the profesional level. So lets wait the author of the article would do some certification, after that may be I will read his bullshit.

There are a number of other certifications beyond MCSD.NET. The article is not attempting to single out a specific one. Rather, the author is pointing out that a certification demonstrates effort to obtain a certification, but not necessarily much more than that. Although I don't think certifications are worthless, I do think that they're not worth anything on their own.

You know - nothing is worth anything on its own :)
