What is DoIP?

I had not seen this acronym previously, and the concept is not entirely new. However, it is a highly interesting concept that could radically change our approach to personal computing. Check it out.

Hmmm... Sounds like a normal thin client architecture adapted to work over public networks instead of just corporate networks.

The funny thing is that the best way to start implementation would be in corporate environments, but they could already do this (albeit with a system that is shoehorned to do it, not built from the ground up to do it).

I like the idea, but I don't know if I like other people owning my data.
