You say that

But your not supporting VS2003 on Vista even though that is still within the 5 year lifecycle. [inc. the find in file crash that I reported last year, that has now been rejected on connect <sob>]

How does MS decide which products they will honour the 5yr lifecycle and which not?

this is really bad news,VSS 2005 is not supported on Vista,i think this can be solved is there's a third party plugin to webDav component to work with VSS Services... ? if yes,Does VSS support this without any other problems ?

maybe i think they didn't deliver this because Vista a desktop OS not Server one such as supposed Longhorn OS.
