Upcoming BizTalk Webcasts, And Honeymoon Recap
... and I'm back. First of all, there are a couple BizTalk webcasts coming up over the next month that you should mark on your calendars.
Marty Wasznicky is presenting a webcast on 11/03 entitled
Design Human Workflow Solutions with BizTalk Server 2004 that is NOT a focus on HWS, but rather, demonstrates a very cool prototype
that he built for a big recent BizTalk win. You'll see some very nice SharePoint, InfoPath and BizTalk coordination here.
The next webcast to flag is on 11/17 and called
Manage and Monitor Enterprise Deployments with BizTalk Server 2006 which covers how to use the BizTalk Object Model to script and
automate certain activities, and goes into the general administrative goodness that is BizTalk Server 2006.
So I thought I'd pass along a couple of my favorite eats encountered during my recent honeymoon road trip down the East coast of the US. If
you're in Portland, Maine you have to eat at Fore Street Restaurant (thinking about
that pork actually causes a Pavlovian response), in Boston you gotta hit up Mike's Pastries (the
Boston Cream Pie and cannoli was deeeelicious), and if you're in New York City, and feel like spending an ungodly amount of money on
(very good) food, both the Ocean Grill and
Tavern On The Green are fine choices.
Finally, a few random observations from traveling 800 miles through East Coast cities:
- There appear to be 7 people in New England who actually use the blinker on their car.
- I think Stevie Wonder designed the downtown street grid in Boston. Good lord, I could live there 30 years and get lost.
- Boston is a freakin' great city where I could easily see moving to. New York, nice place to visit, absolutely no desire to live there.
- I'm ashamed to admit that I considered taking my picture in front of Samuel Adams' grave holding a beer. So cliche.
- New York's Central Park is amazing. And seeing the Lion King on Broadway
was phenomenal
- Washington D.C. really is an impressive place for history buffs. Not too many places where you can visit a staggeringly moving Holocaust museum and
see the actual U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence on the same day. Pretty cool.
- I can't believe this is true, but East Coast drivers actually merge into traffic WORSE than Californians. I still can't get over that one.
All in all, great trip, but glad to be back to real life. More BizTalk stuff to follow ...
