Transactional NTFS

A Windows Transactional File System has been on the cards ever since the heady days of "Cairo" and for those that thought it'd never appear, get ready for Longhorn! :) NFTS-T / TNTFS or whatever the acronym will become has got to be one of the most powerful features of Longhorn and one which will enable us to build exceptionally "correct" systems. Personally I can't wait for this feature :)

By "Correct" I mean that when changes are made to multiple resources, that all changes are made atomically, or all are rolled back. Ever seen systems where one sub-system is updated and yet other changes didn't make it to other sub-systems? This is precisely what transactions are for - it's *NOT* all about databases - now, transactions can span file updates etc. YAY! :D
