With a well-earned tip of the cap to the land in which Microsoft applications are localized into over 30 different languages, Microsoft announced today the Irish Language Interface Pack for Windows, and the imminent (September) release of the same for Microsoft Office -- just in time for the start of school.

Now your start button can read tosaigh, which literally translates to "kick off," "start up" or "move forward," and the rest of your Windows user interface can be similarly adapted.

The Language Interface Packs are free for download at this link.  They're the result of a twelve-month effort, and perfectly timed for the 20th Anniversary of Microsoft in Ireland.  Compliments to everyone involved in the effort!  Go n-éiri an bothar libh!
