Palo Alto - Installing Team Foundation Server

If you're in Silicon Valley this week, this looks like an interesting presentation on Wednesday evening at the SDForum Windows SIG monthly meeting:

Wednesday, February 01 20066:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Cubberly Community Center - Palo Alto

Microsoft® Visual Studio® 2005 is the most significant release to come along since Visual Studio version 1.0. With the addition of Team System, Visual Studio offers tightly integrated and extensible tools that enable software development teams to reduce the complexity of development and improve communication and collaboration throughout the development process. And Team Foundation Server is what powers the collaboration aspects of the Visual Studio Team System.

But, no one said that installing and configuring Team Foundation Server was easy! In fact, there are several gotcha’s and pitfalls along the way.

This presentation will start with an overview of TFS, and then provide a step-by-step look at what it takes to get all of this power up and running. We’ll finish up with a “hands-on” demo of some of the features in action.
