# re: Upgrading to Team Foundation Server (RTM)

Downloaded TFSUpgradePackageRTM.exe to upgrade my TFS Beta 3 Refresh install and got as far as Step 8: Install the ASP.NET Update from the Product Media.  Here it states:

You must install an update for ASP.NET before you install Team Foundation Server RTM or the installation will fail. The update is included on the Team Foundation Server product media in the KB913393 folder and can also be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=62733).

I have the 180 day trial of Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite which contains two CDs and one DVD, Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio 2005, and SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition.  Received it a few months ago.  None of which contain any files or folders even resembling KB913393.  It is just not there.  Oddly enough, neither is the webpage mentioned in the upgrade guide.  Searching for KB913393 pretty much gives me nothing.  I have seen a few posts where others are saying the same thing about the missing update.  What is the deal?

I followed the rest of the instructions anyway and sure enough, the reinstall failed.

Can anyone throw me a bone please?

Eagerly waiting to play with Team Suite,

Matt

# Team Foundation Server

Hi,
At least, I've install TFS, and the last problem was in IIS users. IUSR_computername and IWAM_computername were disabled. And one attention for Microsoft, a lot of different problems addressed with one message(26105).

I am trying to upgrade TFS workgroup edition to a standard edition. I un-installed the workgroup edition and then install the full edition but the Team Foundation Licenced Users group is still enabled. Any idea?

Asif - When you go to MSDN Subscriber Downloads, you'll find the downloads to which you have access. Which downloads you find will depend upon which products you've licensed. You'll only find Team Suite if you have Team Suite with MSDN Premium.

# Team Foundation Server (RTM) upgrade price

Hi Guys,
I'm supposed to upgrade my B3F to the latest RTM release. I was holding on to it because they have released a workgroup version (for 5 concurrent users) on MSDN instead of full version of Foundation server and I was hoping it will be eventually avaiable on MSDN. But I cannot wait for any long now, since we will be releasing our Beta very soon and need to upgrade to RTM to figure out if it resolves few of the existing bugs/issues.

My question is there is a upgrade price for foundation server for $499 and full version is about $2799.00 We are be very conservative on the $ amount right now

What is the upgrade price for - upgrade from what?

# re: Upgrading to Team Foundation Server (RTM)

It's not an upgrade price. For Team Foundation Server, the column name is "CAL" - the price of a Client Access License - which is $499.
