Blogs: is it free or there is a cost?

Let me make a simple computation:

typepad blog montly fee: 14.95 USD

AudioBlog montly fee: 4,95 USD

NewsGator montly fee: 1,96 USD

Total: more than 20 USD for month to host a blog

plus: domain registration, about 40 USD for year

not bad, not free.

Ok, you can have MSN Spaces or Google Blogger, but ... I dont' know: what do you think?
