Musings on SQL Server Manageability

This is the personal blog of Richard Waymire, Program Manager for SQL Server's Management Platform team.

At Teched

If any of you are here at TechEd in Boston, find one of us on the Datadude team - we'll be in the booth areas on the exhibit hall and just wandering around attending sessions :-)

We've also got several thousand CDs of CTP3 ready to go at the booth - come by and get one and install the product!  The link is supposed to go live today to download the CTP - check in at http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/teamsystem/products/dbpro/default.aspx.

Over the next few days I'll be coding up SQL Server 2005 templates for objects such as service broker.  Right now I'm doing templates (whenever possible) such that the code will run right away - unlike the SQL Server Management Studio templates which include datatype, and suggested possible default values.  I am curious if you like the SQL Server templates that are out there now or the CTP3 version of the templates....
