Microsoft's Greenwich IM

On Thursday, c|net had an article on Microsoft's planned release of its Greenwich corporate IM server. Being that I'm not on the beta for this product, I'm hoping that there are some feature for developers that are added to Greenwich. Granted the basic capabilities of doing secure IM are very useful, here are a few things that I'd like to see:

  1. Developer SDK for .NET: I hope that there is some SDK release that will enable us as developers to be able to tie into Greenwich's Secure IM capabilites from within our own applications. This can be very useful, especially in some internal applications. I can think of some great research ideas or ideas for integrating such capabilites in some of my research applications.
  2. Developer SDK for Compact .NET: Along the same lines as the first "wish"... Wouldn't it be great to be able to create a Secure IM or other type of collaboration app for PocketPCs?

I hope that in the coming months there will be more information of the Microsoft and MSDN websites regarding Greenwich.
