Off to Microsoft later today...

Here comes the news that I've been holding out on for about a week and half now... Microsoft is having this Imagine Cup 2003 competition on XML Web Services for college undergraduates and graduates. I entered my Photo Album WS in the regional competition back in March and currently it has moved onto the US Finals. This is one of only 7 other projects from the entire US. So, now I'm heading to Microsoft later today for giving a demo and talk to the judges on Saturday. The 8 projects are now competing for the top 2 spots to move onto the International Imagine Cup Competition and a trip to TechEd Europe (in Barcelona, Spain!) to demo the project there since the International winners will be announced there. I'll be posting updates here periodically over the weekend...

Awesome. I will also be at the Imagine Cup. I posted about it on my blog last night (aka 4am). It's pretty cool that two of the 8 teams are dotnetwebloggers.

Are you planning to release your WS Photo Album (either binaries/source) ? I've just finished my own (non-WS) ASP.NET photo gallery s/w but it sure doesn't sound as cool as yours :)
