Blog Rebooted...
I switched roles a few weeks ago. I'm now a Technical Specialist focused on Visual Studio, specifically Team System. Coincidentally, the switch occurred around the release of VSTS 2005 RC and TFS Beta 3. :) Quite fitting I think. So over the next few days, expect this blog to be "redecorated" with VS related material.
While I get this blog in order, here's a quick tip. TFS Beta 3 installation is now vastly improved from Beta 2. But you still need to read the docs. Even then, you need to make sensible decisions. Towards the latter half of the TFS install, I got this cryptic error: "Error 28100.Error loading Event web service." Search yielded no solutions. After trying various things on my single server VPC installation, I removed the blank passwords for the three TFS user accounts. That fixed the problem! The error message had nothing to do with the cause but I shouldn't have used blanks passwords (even though it was a VPC w/ no external networking capabilities).
