Tagging feature to be launched in MSDN Library

MSDN team is planning to add tagging feature on the MSDN Library this week.  The tags control will show up on all documentation that has the MSDN WIKI feature in the library (currently 1.5 million pages across 7 languages). 

There will be a page level tagging control right below the topic and one added to each Community Content block.  It looks like this:

Adding tags will have the same requirements as the Community Content feature:

  • Live ID \ Passport is required
  •  
  • User must set a display name
  •  
  • User must agree to Community terms of use

 

You can use the Recent Edits RSS to find topics for tagging.  Here’s an example (see the tags below the block):
