Happy Holidays

It was a pretty amazing year in the SAP Alliance Team here at Microsoft Corp. and we had a couple of highlights like the shipment of Duet as well as the announcement of the roadmap for Duet on SAPPHIRE in Atlanta where Jeff Raikes from Microsoft and Leo Apotheker from SAP announced Duet 3.0, which will be build on SharePoint technology. More information about Duet can be found at www.duet.com.

We also published a lot of whitepapers which hopefuly will help a lot of customers getting the best out of their investments in Microsoft and SAP. Two new papers are ready for publishing, a paper describing the use of WSRP (Web Service for Remote Portlets) for displaying portlets from SAP NetWeaver Portal in MOSS and vice versa, as well as a Portal Interop guide, a 180-page guide which covers nearly every scenario you can think about when talking about portal interop. As soon as the papers are published we will blog about it. We would also be interested in getting some feedback what you see as important in regards to the Microsoft - SAP Interoperability, if you have specific topics you would be interested in please let us know.

If you need something to read during the holidays I can recommend https://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/sql/bestpractice/sap-top-10.mspx, it's a best practice write-up based on Takayuki Hoshinos experience in the SAP/SQL field. Takayuki Hoshino is a Senior Technical Specialist in Japan and he is an expert for running SAP on SQL Server.

Happy Holidays,
