&lt;p&gt;FWIW, Ctrl+. is actually Ctrl+; on my belgian french keyboard. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Pretty cool that VS realizes that . requires Shift on my keyboard (as opposed to ;. Which I believe is one of the differences with US keyboards) hence binds the function to Ctrl+;&lt;/p&gt;
