Sara,
You've made huge contributions at Microsoft in your tenure here, and you will be missed, no doubt! You're a great role model and a great leader -- one of the big gifts in my time at Microsoft was getting to work in your group. GDN, what an accomplishment *that* was! And the team you built to get MSDN back on it's feet and then take it to the next level was amazing -- the synergy, the fun, and most importantly the passion for the developer. Did I say amazing? I learned so much from each person in the team you built and from you. In my travels while looking for a new gig, many of the people that I talked to were networking connections from you, and and of course everyone I talked to had a good word to say about working with you. Take care, Sara. And thank you so much for everything. You will be missed, but not forgotten!

Sara - I'm forever changed after working with you these past 4 years. You have taught me a great deal about what's really important in life. Not only have you been the most important role model for me here at MS, but the way you live life outside of MS is an inspiration. No matter how crazy things got here, you never lost your cool or your zest for life! I truly admire you Sara for all that you've taught me at work and for all of the amazing talents and traits you possess. You are a genuinely kind and caring person and I will truly, truly miss you!! But you can bet I'm coming out to Boston to visit! :)

Sara, you have been an inspiration from the very first day we met. I learned so much from you that I don't really know how to quantify all the positive impact you have made. You will be sorely missed but am happy you are taking such an exiting change. Don't forget to visit.

Best of luck, Sara--as everyone has said, you will be sorely missed here in Seattle. You've been such a strong leader, mentor and friend to me; and I admire your strength, compassion, and wisdom as a leader at Microsoft, but also as an individual and friend. Boston is lucky to have you--and I know you will continue to make waves and friends as you sail through life (how's that for a metaphor?!) As one of my ex-boyfriends use to say (I ditched the boy, but not the phrase:) "Life is a great bovine adventure--you have to milk it." And I have every confidence that you will continue to milk it... :)

My ambition for life was to work for microsoft and furthermore meet sara the ledgend who made microsoft kool. It would of been both an honour and a privalage. Sadly i will never get to meet her.
