Convergence EMEA – NOV 6th-8th 20006, Munich, Germany

Today in Munich the Microsoft Dynamics team will kick off its first Convergence customer conference for the EMEA region. Over 3,200 customers and partners from 75 countries will come together three days of learning and networking.

 

We’ll have keynotes from Bill Gates, Doug Burgum, Neil Holloway, Tami Reller, and me, along with 108 sessions and 24 “chalk and talks”.

 

Key news at the conference will include:

·         Bill’s keynote on Dynamics in the Live era with more details on our upcoming Dynamics CRM service, additional add-on services & community

·         introduction of the Dynamics ERP products in the SPLA program to enable SaaS verticals and other service providers

·         availability of Dynamics AX 4.0 in 36 countries by EOY

·         availability of Dynamics CRM on ERP price list to enable Dynamics Suite sales (CRM Server is included in Advance Mgt)

·         launch of a new version of Dynamics CRM to support Office 2007 and Windows Vista

·         launch of a community focused on the role business management software can plays in a company’s environmental sustainability efforts

We're waiting exciting news from Convergence, personally I'm focused on CRM and Dynamics NAV. Is there a possibility to have a preview of Dynamics NAV 5.0 for Certified Partners in the future, before the official RTM release? This could help us a lot of testing our verticalizations.

Satya Nadella is corporate vice president responsible for leading the Product Group within Microsoft Business Solutions. Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992 and has held a variety of marketing, product development and general management roles. Before taking on his current role, Nadella was responsible for launching and leading Microsoft bCentral, the leading Internet service providing Web presence, communications, customer marketing and e-commerce tools to small businesses. Nadella became part of Business Solutions when the division was formed by combining the bCentral, Great Plains and Navision a/s groups. Before that, he was general manager for the Commerce Platforms Group and led the development efforts for Microsoft Commerce Server and Microsoft BizTalk Server. Nadella was also a key member of several advanced technology incubation efforts inside Microsoft, including interactive television (ITV) and digital rights management (DRM). Nadellas first assignment at Microsoft was in the Windows Developer Relations group, where he was a program manager. Before joining Microsoft, Nadella was a member of the technology staff at Sun Microsystems Inc. Nadella has a masters degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin and a masters degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.
