Visio: Transparencies and Soft Shadows

In my first screencast (Visio- Expressive Diagrams Demo) I showed how to use the Visio ShapeSheet to create some nice effects with transparencies. In my new screencast I show how to use some pre-built shapes to easily build transparency effects without using the shapesheet at all.

Excellent work, as usual!

And the videos you make are a great help too!

Thanks for making these - I have been trying to work out how to get some decent drop shadows and stumbled across these!

BUT - anyone else have issues making a PDF of documents using this technique?  i.e. it loads very slowly and comes out dithered on the PDF.  It's the old Visio-can't-PDF-transparencies-properly issue!  I'm using 2003 Professional.  Is this fixed in 2007 version?
