This guide describes how different hardware configuration options affect the performance of a server hosting MIIS 2003. Performance tests were completed using various hardware configurations and this whitepaper presents a compilation of the results along with a set of configuration recommendations based on those results. The configuration options discussed in the whitepaper are: processors (quantity and speed), database location, memory, disks and network.
