SCCP 2006 employs state of the art modeling technology to bring unprecedented functionality and flexibility to the process of performance analysis and planning of distributed application deployments. In this release, we support Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and Microsoft Operations Manager 2005. System Center Capacity Planner gives IT Professionals the guidance they need to plan a deployment of these applications in the most efficient manner, while also allowing for "what-if" analysis for future planning. SCCP 2006 provides our customers with:

Architectural guidance customized for the requirements of their organization

Automated sizing of hardware requirements, including CPUs, disks, and networks

Customization of the distributed architecture to a fine level of granularity (software & hardware configuration, topology, and usage profiles)

Powerful simulation engine that predicts the performance of any future deployment

Reports that show both system capacity and user experience

SCCP 2006 will be available to Technet Plus subscribers starting in January 2006. Future releases will extend our scenarios to support additional workloads with the introduction of a modeling SDK, and will automate the process of capacity planning by integrating SCCP with data collected from other management products such as MOM and SMS.
