System Center Reporting Manager 2006 Release Candidate hits BetaPlace...
The System Center Reporting Manager 2006 Release Candidate build has been released to BetaPlace <https://beta.microsoft.com>. We encourage you to install System Center Reporting Manager 2006 (Release Candidate), MOM 2005 SP1, and SMS 2003 SP2 (Release Candidate) into a test environment and check out this rich reporting solution.
The following changes have been made in the Release Candidate from the Beta:
· Improved setup to assist the SCRM Administrator with database and disk space planning
· Added wildcard filters to reports to avoid large drop down lists
· Added ability to report on SMS_DEF.MOF extensions.
· Organized reports into folders
· Improved report performance
· Improved data warehouse performance
We will be providing support for the beta program through newsgroups and Microsoft Beta. Microsoft Beta is Microsoft's technical beta web community where you can:
· Download the current build
· Report bugs online
· View status of your bugs
· Receive up to date program information and downloads
· Update your contact information
· Obtain general beta testing guidelines and information
To obtain System Center Reporting Manager 2006 (Beta):

Go to the Microsoft Betaplace Site and sign in with your Microsoft .Net Passport ID. If you don't have a Passport account, you will need to first complete a Passport registration. |

Enter the Guest ID "SCGUEST" (this ID is case-sensitive). |

3. |
Click on the Systems Center Reporting Manager 2006 link. |

4. |
Click on the Nomination link on the left side of the page. |

5. |
Fill out and submit the nomination form and expect that in 24 hours you will have access to the beta build. |
