Microsoft Dynamics AX with SQL Server 2005

I used to work in the Microsoft Dynamics AX team before the SQL role and wanted to share some BI related content with you around Dynamics AX.

Dynamics AX current version 4.0 is built on SQL Server 2005 and leverages both Analysis Services and Reporting Services. Dynamics AX ships with 16 standard cubes and has a cube builder allowing extending the standard or creating new cubes within AX. AX also makes use of Report Builder and ships with report models allowing easy ad-hoc report creation. A tool set is provided for creating report extensions within AX.

These are just some of the Bi capabilities within Dynamics AX, it is a great way showing how to extend the BI capabilities within ERP.
