 Registrations are now open for the Oz-IA conference, in Sydney the weekend before Web Directions. Oz-IA is a conference around information architecture,and attracts all sorts of user experience folks. I was at the first Oz-IA last year - great company, great sessions, nice relaxed vibe. Eric does a great job.
