Earlier this year, we announced the imminent release of a set of Role-Based Templates for MOSS 2007 My Sites, affectionately called the “Splendid 7”. A week later, we released two templates: Controller-Financial Analyst and Sales Account Manager. Now, the 5 remaining members of the Splendid 7 are available for download!
These five templates were designed to address the needs of the following job roles: Customer Service Manager, HR Manager, IT Manager, Marketing Manager, and Administrative Assistant. Just like the “Fantastic 40” Application Templates for WSS 3.0, each Role-Based Template has a companion set of functional and technical datasheets that provide more details about features and usage scenarios.
If you’re looking for an easy way to get all 7 Role-Based My Site Templates at once, you can download this convenient package (quick registration is required). And for those of you who downloaded the first two Role-Based My Site templates, Controller-Financial Analyst and Sales Account Manager, but had difficulty in setting them up, we’ve cleaned up their Setup Guides and repackaged the files, so download them again and give them another try.
