Hi there,

really good and precious content on this Mix09 video. A MUST READ for every Moss related developer, architect and vendor out there.

My name is Rodrigo Pinto(Scoutman), and i know SharePoint since the v2001. In February of 2007, i had the challenge of create a WCM SharePoint sites (6!) and i came across all the issues and features of Moss in the early stages: totaly agree with Tony Jones AVOID using SharePoint Designer. I had a lot of gray hair becuse of it . ;) On the other hand some issues give me the ability to develop on Moss, secure, fast and best pratices manner way: 1st site take 6 Months (1 teamleader/developer/architect/tester (Me!!!) another developer, outsider designer and outsider team): Second took 2 Months, the third 2 weeks with 1 developer full time and another 50%.

Love Moss + Silverlight!

Excellent Video!

Best Regards

Rodrigo Pinto, SharePoint Solution Architect

# Ups, we did it again … SharePoint as WCMS

YES, public web sites today are highly interactive with Web 2.0 and much more focused on business, with registrations, downloads, workflows, business actions, targeted content. SharePoint can offer a stable and easy to use WCMS framework to build such solutions. Microsoft partners, just like us, do offer additional components, that have a lot of often required features out-of-the-box: contact forms, language picker using variations, display of related content...

So, what are you waiting for?
