For the people that does not know to mush about MOSS, they need to approve the files once imported using SharePoint Designer, If you just imported them and then go back to the MasterPage Settings on your MOSS Site is going to appear an error that mean you need to approve first those files just imported (the ones relates to the masterpages _catalogs->masterpage). So go back to the SP Designer and browse to... "/_catalogs->masterpage and look for the " .master" pages you've just imported, you'll see them with a blue little icon on the left side of each master page you've imported (each one of the diferent colors),. So you should right clic on each one and choose the first option as "Protect", clic ok or Yes on the message box, and it will open the browser to approve from the master page folder the one you want to approve, and after that, its done!

Cheers

Luis.

re: 20 sample Master Pages for the "Fantastic 40" Application Templates for WSS 3.0

I used the green "block" master pages, but it only seems to like the default WSS theme?

Also I changed the top-nav to use SPSiteMapProvider and display sub-sites as a drop-down. The menu looked horrible...

I had to modify the stylesheet:

template_layout4.ccs

I added the following lines at the bottom of the file:

.ms-topNavFlyOuts{

background-color:#DDE6D7;

}

.ms-topNavFlyOuts a{

color:#114741;

}

.ms-topNavFlyOutsHover{

background-color:#317023;

}

.ms-topNavFlyOutsHover a{

color:#FFFFFF;

}

.ms-topNavFlyOutsContainer{

border:solid 1px #317023;

}

.ms-WPTitle{

background-color:#DDE6D7;

color:#317023

}

It looks a bit better, but now it seems the master page is not cross-browser compatible? wtf?

re: 20 sample Master Pages for the "Fantastic 40" Application Templates for WSS 3.0

I tried 2 in firefox, pretty pathetic.

re: 20 sample Master Pages for the "Fantastic 40" Application Templates for WSS 3.0

What I'm wondering.. what is needed to make these masterpages work in a portal (MOSS) environment?

re: 20 sample Master Pages for the "Fantastic 40" Application Templates for WSS 3.0

Unimpressive.
